Deadline for on-line, e-mail and express mail applications :
- non-EU students : THE APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED
- EU students : THE APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED
“Non european students” are students coming from a country other than an eligible applicant country (i.e. a Member State of the European Union, an EEA-EFTA State – Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein-), and who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries.
“European students” are students who do not fill the conditions above.
Former EM scholarship holders are not subject to the 12 months rule and are therefore considered as category A students.
EU students must apply to phD projects involving countries in which they did not obtain their last university degree
Deadline for the notification of the evaluation results to the candidates (by e-mail) :
European and Non european students : THE APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED
In order to apply :
1) Download the Application form, and fill in all the required fields. You can use the spreadsheet software of your choice, for instance OpenOffice Calc that can be freely downloaded here for the standard version, or here for a portable version (Windows only). PLEASE SAVE THIS FORM IN THE EXCEL FORMAT : NO PDF.
In the Application form you have to select a list of preference for 4 phD projects maximum among the 15 possible projects (a list of these projects is given below). This choice must be based upon your career project and motivations, as well as your fields of competence. EU students must apply to phD projects involving countries in which they did not obtain their last university degree.
2) The application procedure is available at the page http://www.europhotonics.org/emundusdoctorate/. Go to this page to create your personal account, then follow the instructions that are given by the Application Software. The Application Software will collect all the electronic documents that you have to submit (the list of these documents is given below). You can interrupt the submission at any time and resume the submission later. Note that the maximum size of each uploaded document is 6MB.
If you are unable to provide one of the asked documents (in particular diploma that you are currently preparing), please upload instead of it a document explaining the reason.
Finish the electronic submission using the “Declaration & Post” menu.
3) When the electronic submission is finished, send us by post mail the signed Application Form to the postal address given below.
